I'll be having my hair cut tomorrow. Ever since my sis had her hair cut short, I was inspired to have mine cut too! After all we are twins arent we Sharon?

Thing is, I will miss fiddling and twirling my hair when Im bored. On the other hand, if I had short hair it'll be way easier to manage. Drop less hair, use less shampoo/conditioner, and save water too! Weighing up the pros and cons, its obvious that short hair is the way to go.

If I am keeping my hair long. I will go for a long Scene haircut.

So guys which hairstyle should I go for?

Hi YeeMah!

60g plain flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
25g unsalted butter, melted and cooled
icing sugar for dusting

2. Place all the ingredients (except icing sugar) in a large bowl and mix well.
3. Pour batter into prepared muffin pan and bake for 20 minutes or until risen and a skewer inserted in the muffin comes out clean (mine took about 30 mins to bake)

Goodbye starry nights...

After hitting its driest autumns on record, Perth finally gets its fair of rain today. Correction, an ocean-sized share of rain!
Emergency alerts were sent out yesterday as storms and heavy rain blackouts 60 000 homes in Perth. Even worse, such dreadful weather conditions are set to continue through the week. After this stormy episode is over, it will start to get cold. And I mean teeth-clapping cold *shudders*
On to a "warmer" topic… I baked Condensed Milk Muffins last night!

Recall the White Rabbit creamy candies we used to eat when you were a kid?

Well these muffins tasted similar! Soft in texture, yummy, and best of all its made up of very basic ingredients! Great for morning or afternoon tea - serve with a cup of warm "korsong" (no sugar no milk) milo... yum.

Some very unglam p-jay photos of the baking process...

Getting the right portions are the key!

cleaning & watching the very ganjiong American Idol finals

c'mon you can do it - rise!

Mad Rush!

Never had such a full-on weekend in ages. Waking up this morning was hard. Brekkie was a rush, makeup was just dab-and-go, walked into work basically looking like a total train wreck!

Tiring was the weekend but I had a good time! Woke up at 4am on Saturday to bake this birthday cake for my Aunt.

Coffee & Dark Chocolate Cake

The process...

It was hard work... took me about 3 hours to finish everything but it was worth it.

On a different note, I still miss Singapore very much. Yes I can make short and frequent trips back but deep down I know it will only make me feel more homesick after. I need more time to settle in Perth.

Baking in Progress...

My Aunt's birthday is this weekend and I am in-charge of baking a Birthday Cake for her. I am a novice baker… baking a full cake is going to be daunting... I wished I had my cousin Gail or Steph to help!

After goggling and flipping through hundreds of recipes. Only one caught my attention. Well realistically, it is the only one I think I am capable of making!

Sorry no photos of Pickering Brook! We were too tired after visiting the temple in the morning. Tar pau-ed lunch at Spencer Village and ate at Kau Gong Kau Por's place :-)

Kau Gong Kau Por's veggie patch! Theres like a long stretch of these...

I wonder whether Iggy will eat all of these in a day...
